当研究室は、2025年4月に発足した若い研究室です。これから所属する皆さんは、研究室の初期メンバーです。皆さん一人ひとりの考え方や研究への取り組み方が、これからの研究室の文化を形づくっていくと思います。ぜひ一緒に、研究室の歴史と文化を育てていきましょう。

佐藤研究室は、物質科学工学科の中でも少し特色が異なり、有機化学と生命科学を基盤として化学生命工学の研究に取り組んでいます。小規模な研究室であるからこそ、自分たちだけで研究を完結させるのではなく、異なる分野の専門家と積極的に共同研究を進めています。そのため、外部の研究機関を訪れる機会や、さまざまな研究者と交流する機会も多いと思います。

当研究室を志望する学部生の皆さんには、ぜひ大学院へ進学して研究をさらに深化させ、新しい分野を切り拓き、世界に通用する研究を生み出すフロンティア精神をもった人材へと成長してほしいと願っています。

Our laboratory is a young research group established in April 2025. Those of you who join us will be among its founding members. I believe that the culture of the laboratory will be shaped by each of you through your own ideas and approaches to research. I hope we can build the history and culture of this laboratory together.

The Sato Laboratory has a distinctive character within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, conducting research in chemical and biological engineering based on organic chemistry and the life sciences. Because we are a small laboratory, we do not pursue research only within our own group; instead, we actively collaborate with specialists in different fields. As a result, there will be many opportunities to visit external research institutions and interact with a wide range of researchers.

To undergraduate students who wish to join our laboratory, I hope you will continue on to graduate school, deepen your research, and grow into researchers with a frontier spirit—individuals who can open up new fields and produce work that is recognized internationally.
