Welcome to MY-Lab @ AS

Our objective is to synthesize, characterize, and apply quantum materials, predominantly 2D materials, in electronic and energy applications with potential impacts on our daily lives. By harnessing the distinctive behaviors arising from quantum mechanical properties, we enhance sensors, electronic devices, and energy devices. Numerous quantum properties remain undiscovered, presenting opportunities for us to explore and imagine their transformative potential for our future.

Quantum Materials

2D materials can suspend over pinholes and possess unique physical properties down to atomic thickness. We synthesize novel 2D materials and explore their unique functions.

Novel Properties

We fabricate devices with ultra-scaled patterning techniques and control edges with atomic precision. We also investigate exciting changes in physical and chemical properties, including spin, exciton, photon, electron transport, and even electrochemical reaction.

Innovative Devices

Control through hetero-junctions, edges, contacts, gradient compositions, and functionalization to improve the performance of transistors, sensors, FET, transistors, single photon quantum emission, and energy devices.
