Dr. Poe Lecture Hall, Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica
The Asian International Seminar on Atomic and Molecular Physics (AISAMP), held biennially, brings together scientists from across the Asia-Pacific region to present their latest results, exchange ideas, and foster international collaboration. Since its inaugural meeting in 1985, the AISAMP series have provided a unique and expansive platform for researchers from Japan, India, China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and beyond to contribute and connect.
The 13th AISAMP in 2018 was held in Mumbai, India; the 14th, in 2023, took place virtually; and the 15th, in 2024, was hosted in Daejeon, South Korea. At the most recent meeting in Korea, more than 100 participants gathered to share the latest advances in atomic and molecular physics and to rekindle in-person collaborations that had been hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 16th AISAMP will be held at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica, from October 26 (Mon.) to October 30 (Fri.), 2026, on the lively and scenic campus of National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. The local organizing committee consists of members from Academia Sinica and National Tsing Hua University in the fields of Physics, Chemistry and Material Science.
In this conference, we will showcase our research capacity through plenary and keynote talks by senior members, and early-career talks by young researchers invited by the international advisory committee. The whole program is designed to allow not only faculty members, but also junior members (post-doc and students) to participate in AISAMP.
The topics of AISAMP16 encompassed atomic and molecular structure, spectroscopy, and collisions; precision spectroscopy and metrology; strong-field and ultrafast laser physics; laser cooling and trapping of atoms and molecules; ultracold quantum gases; and quantum information science.
