Students will be confined to the event property, the hotel property and will have an adult chaperone with them at restaurants.
Students cannot leave any of these locations without an adult.
AT NO TIME are students allowed to leave in a private vehicle, or use Uber or Lyft, etc.
All students must install the Life360 app on their cell phone and share their location with their assigned Chaperone at ALL TIMES while on the trip.

According to AAST policy, students who elected to participate in FRC Robotics must be academically eligible at the time of the trip and not be in jeopardy of losing credit due to grades or attendance issues.
It is up to the teacher’s discretion whether or not to allow students to miss class for these events (cannot be overruled).
Students who do not meet the criteria as outlined in the policy will not be allowed to participate in SLC and will receive no refund of money paid.
Students will have 5 school days to make up any work missed while at the events attended.

Dress code
Must meet school standards for coverage of the body from armpit to midthigh.
Students must wear the team shirt while at the event location. This shirt will be given to them on the bus.
Students must wear closed toed shoes at all times at the event location.
Students must wear safety classes or side shields at all times in designated areas at the event location.
Illegal Substances
The possession, acquisition, or use of alcohol, tobacco products, vapes, illegal drugs or legal drugs not properly signed in with a chaperone will bring bring school and legal consequences as necessitated by the infraction INCLUDING THE PARENT BEING REQUIRED TO IMMEDIATELY COME TO PICK UP THE STUDENT IN ANDERSON, SC.
Curfew
Curfew will be set each evening depending on when we arrive back to the hotel. Typically, students will be given 30 minutes after arrival at the hotel to get into their assigned rooms.
A chaperone will check that the correct occupants are in that room at curfew and tape will be placed on the door as an indicator that no one leaves before morning.
Breaking curfew is a major infraction will require a PARENT TO IMMEDIATELY COME TO PICK UP THE STUDENT FROM THE EVENT.
Students may bring one piece of luggage and one carry-on bag. Both will be searched by administration and the police drug dog.

Consequences
Failure to follow adult instruction and the rules listed here will result in the student being dismissed from the event, from the team, and the parent being required to travel to the event to pick up the student.
