Bylaws

Information on the National Organization of NHS can be found at nhs.us  There members can create an account, search for scholarships and other leadership opportunities.  

Bylaws Revision on March 14, 2024

Selection and induction of members will now be in the Fall of each school year.  This was done for a number of reasons:

• Students who elect to attend a special academy in 11th and 12th grade (AAST, ATA, etc.) will be inducted at those schools.

• The Faculty Council will have a full 2 years of academics and discipline records with which to evaluate potential members. 

• St. James High School is moving towards having a common timeframe for induction of all honor societies.  

Academically qualifying 11th and 12th graders will receive invitations during Q1 each school year.
