We want our students to be the best they can be! Research shows if students do not read over the summer, they could experience a decrease in their reading achievement. To avoid this, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE our students to read for pleasure during the summer and to participate in the OPTIONAL Summer Reading Challenge. We support student choice and want our students to choose their own books based on personal preference, with their parents' approval. The information below includes details about Summer Reading, sign up info, incentives and access to ebooks over the summer. Don't forget to sign up if you plan to participate!!

Search Destiny Discover for books in the Aynor Middle School Library. Log in with your network username and password to access the books in the library and additional e-books.

You can check out books from the Horry County Memorial Library throughout the summer two different ways... by going to the library and getting actual books or accessing their ebooks and audiobooks for free. If you would like to go to the library, you will need a HCML library card. If you only want to check out ebooks and audiobooks, you will just need a HCML digital ecard.
How to get an HCML library card:
Stop by the AMS Library Learning Commons or see your ELA teacher for an HCML application. Take it home and have your parents help you complete it and return it to Mrs. West or Mrs. Tyler before Friday, May 27th, in order to get your card back before June 3rd.
How to get an HCML digital ecard:
Send an email to hcml@horrcounty.org and include the following and you will receive an email with your login information:
Full name
Date of birth
Phone number
Address
Email
Parent/Guardian name
