7th Graders: Every 7th grader will make a 5 year graduation plan throughout their 7th grade year. It is a draft and can be edited. More information will be shared as the plans are developed.
8th Graders-Every 8th grader will review their plan from 7th grade and/or create one if they are new. It is a draft and can be edited.
These plans are to ensure that students have planned for their graduation required courses and will be used for course selection.
Important Information
****Information is subject to change each year as the district releases updates to the counseling teams.****
Core Classes: On level or Advanced–Students who score well on district tests and/or STAAR will be automatically placed in Advanced Classes.
Pathway-Every student has to have ONE. Sports are not pathways. Many pathways allow students to graduate certificates for the work force.
HS Credits at Middle School (not required to graduate; would count toward elective credits)
Engineering Essentials (8th only)
Principles of Arts, A/V Technology & Communications (Freshman class for Digital Communications, Graphic Design and Printing and Imaging Pathways) (7th & 8th graders)
Intro to Applied Engineering (7th only)
