Carpenter Center

Friday’s sessions will take place in the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, which is located at 24 Quincy St, to the east of Harvard Yard. Meetings will convene in room B04 on the lower level.

Getting there from the Porter Square Hotel

By foot

Weather permitting, the best option for most people will be to walk (c. 25 minutes). The absolutely simplest route is to follow Massachusetts Avenue south from Porter Square to Harvard Square. You will have a slightly nicer walk if, once you are well underway, you cut east (left) from Mass. Ave. to the parallel Oxford St. and then continue south on Oxford St. until you hit the northern edge of Harvard Yard.

On public transportation

You can take the no. 77 or no. 96 bus from the corner of Mass. Ave. and Porter Rd. to Harvard Square (5 stops) or take the “T,” Boston's subway system, from Porter Square in the "Inbound" direction to Harvard Square (1 stop). Tickets can be purchased in cash from bus drivers or from machines at subway stops.
