Accommodations

In-person attendees are invited to seek out accommodations as per their preference.

We have arranged a conference room rate with the Porter Square Hotel. The hotel is a c. 25-minute walk from Harvard Square and also easily reached by public transportation. Visitors to Harvard often stay there.

The hotel will not block off and hold rooms, so if you want to make a reservation you should do so as soon as possible, either by calling 617 499-3399 or by emailing info@theportersquarehotel.com

To get the conference rate you will have to give them the code LING22 (NB: you cannot do this on the hotel’s website). They will not require a deposit, and you can cancel up to 24 hours before your intended stay.

The nightly conference rate for a double twin room (= two twin beds) is $225 plus tax. Deluxe rooms are available for slightly more.

Public Transportation

The Porter Square Hotel can easily be reached using the T, Boston's subway system. From the airport, take the Silver Line (bus) to South Station and change to the Red Line (subway) in the direction of Alewife. Porter Square is the stop after Harvard Square. Note that ticket purchase is not necessary.

Rideshare and Taxi

If you prefer to take a rideshare from Logan Airport, you must proceed to Central Parking from the terminal. Taxis are available at the terminal.
