Steps to Participate in Dual Enrollment

Complete DE Interest form for 2024-2025

Let Mrs. Holcombe know you are interested. You must be logged into your student GCPS account. Parents can help, however; the student needs to fill out this form.

Complete Permission Form and Turn it in to Mrs. Holcombe.

Copies are located outside of Mrs. Holcombe's room (D300). Students can come by anytime and get a permission form. They are green. Students can turn the form in the same place they got it outside Mrs. Holcombe's room. Permission forms will be accepted until February 1, 2024. After this date, DE will be closed to new applicants for the 2024-2025 school year. 

.We cannot start the application process without permission.

Take the PSAT in October 

This is not required, however, if you do well, you can exempt the college entrance exam! 

Wednesday, October 25th, 2023. This test is free for 10th graders. All 9th, 11th, and 12th graders may register and pay for the PSAT through mypaymentsplus.

Create a College Account at the College you want to attend for DE.

You will need your Social Security number and use the name on your birth certificate. 

Do not use your GCPS email for this account. Colleges cannot communicate with you through this email. Here is the application for GTC.

Choose 1 option below:

1) If you want to be on the MVHS campus while you are in DE, you need to apply to Gwinnett Technical College. It is very important that you follow the directions to the right! ------>

2) If you want to attend any other college for DE, you will be considered an off campus student and you will not be on the MVHS campus for the DE courses you take at this college. You will need to complete your application and registration on your own. You will also need to provide your transportation to the college you have chosen for your courses.

As our program has grown, we only have availability for our GTC students on our MVHS campus.

Fill out and email the DETA form.

You cannot turn this in until you have your student number from Gwinnett Tech. Check your email after you apply to get this student number. It is usually starts with 900.
