Can I be in more than one music class at Lilburn Middle School?

Absolutely! We also offer Chorus and Orchestra at Lilburn Middle School. You are welcome to do 2 out of the 3 we offer. We often see that some of our top musicians are in more than one music class.

What instruments do I get to pick from?

In Band, we off A LOT of instruments to pick from such as:  Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet(s), Saxophone(s), Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, or Percussion.

How will I pick my Band instrument?

There will be instrument "test drive" nights held in early August for students to try out up to 3 instruments they may be interested in playing. Professionals will be hired to guide students through making a sound on the instruments and then picking what feels and sounds the best for them!

Can I play more than one instrument?

Students will only be able to play one instrument while in Band class. Some instruments can be very different and we want students to practice and focus on advancing on their one instrument.

How do I get an instrument?

Instruments can be rented from any music store in the area. Students will be sent home with brochures from a few of these local stores. Click the button below for more information!

Lilburn has a very limited inventory of instruments that are held for families in extreme financial need.
