Students are able to take Dual Enrollment for their JFE/SCE, but must select from the approved pathways. If students use dual enrollment as their JFE or SCE, the must do the following:
Take two classes of dual enrollment in Fall, and two classes in the Spring. Summer classes do not count towards JFE/SCE hours. Students can only take two classes each semester.
Earn a B or higher in BOTH classes, each semester. If a student gets a C or lower in ANY class, they are no longer allowed to use dual enrollment as JFE/SCE and will be placed in a traditional internship. JFE students will be moved to the following semester's roster. SCE students will be required to make up hours AND find another internship.
Students do NOT have to complete the entire certificate for their JFE/SCE. Some of the certifications have requirements beyond what is feasible during school years, and also go beyond the state funded allotment.
Students are only given 30 hours of funding from the state for dual enroll classes, regardless of where, when, and how these classes are taken.
The following pathways are offered at Gwinnett Tech:
Game Developer Certificate (must start in JFE)

Students might not complete the certificate, but can take classes leading to the certificate. Some of these pathways are more than 30 credit hours and would require additional funding to complete.
For list of classes in the recommended sequence for each, please see the Forms/Links page and find the corresponding pathway
Students can also select the Aeronautics Pathway, offered through Embry-Riddle:
