Question: What are the citizenship requirements for the 26-27 school year?
Answer: A recent law was passed by the Georgia congress that now states that only citizens and eligible non-citizens can participate in the Dual Enrollment program starting in Summer 2026.
Question: What are the requirements for Rising 10th Graders to participate?
Answer: Rising 10th graders are only able to take Career Technical courses through Dual Enrollment, unless they earn a 1200+ on the SAT or 26+ on the ACT.
Question: Is a PSAT/SAT score required to get accepted into the college for Dual Enrollment?
Answer: Most local colleges will accept the student if their official GPA meets their minimum requirements as a replacement of submitting test scores.
Question: Is there any fee for Dual Enrollment?
Answer: Funding for Dual Enrollment includes tuition, books, and mandatory fees. Lab/class fees are not covered by Dual Enrollment funding.
Question: Can you take Dual Enrollment in the Summer?
Answer: Yes, you can take Dual Enrollment in any semester that courses are offered by the college.
Question: Are any college courses taught at Duluth HS?
Answer: Yes, We offer 2 courses through Gwinnett Technical College at Duluth HS. Ms. Clark will teach ENGL 1101 (Fall) and ENGL 1102 (Spring) at Duluth High School.
