Our Methods: How We Bring Your Designs to Life
At Discovery Design, we believe a great t-shirt starts with the right technique. Because different designs and fabrics require different approaches, we specialize in four distinct, professional-grade pressing methods.
1. Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
Best for: Bold lettering, simple graphics, team jerseys, and solid-color designs.
The Feel: A slightly raised, clean, textured finish that stands out.
The Perks: Unbelievable color vibrancy (including metallic, glitter, and neon finishes) and incredible durability that won't crack or fade in the wash.
Best Fabrics: Cotton, polyester, and cotton-poly blends.
2. Heat Transfer Printing (DTF / Transfers)
Best for: Multi-colored logos, detailed artwork, photos, and medium-to-large runs.
The Feel: A soft, flexible, lightweight layer that moves naturally with the fabric.
The Perks: Perfect replication of photographic details, sharp gradients, and unlimited color options without bulky layers.
Best Fabrics: Works beautifully on virtually any fabric type or color.
3. Dye Sublimation
Best for: Seamless designs, activewear, all-over prints, and ultimate comfort. for: Bold lettering, simple graphics, team jerseys, and solid-color designs.
The Feel: Zero "hand" (meaning you cannot feel the design at all—it literally becomes part of the fabric).
The Perks: Maximum breathability, completely crack-and-peel proof, and vibrant prints that last the lifetime of the shirt.
Best Fabrics: 100% white or light-colored polyester (perfect for athletic wear!).
4. Embroidery
