Students have multiple options as it relates to post-secondary academic opportunities. College and Technical schools are a few, most students see to further their academic education journey in hopes to complete their Associates, Bachelors, Masters and even some Doctoral degrees.
There are several ways students can apply to colleges through application platforms, but recently for those students that seek to remain In-State can claim their spots for admission through the GEORGIA MATCH choice, a direct opportunity.
Colleges and Universities across the United States OPEN their applications August 1st annually. Deadlines vary with each institution.

University System of Georgia College & Universities will require Lawful Presence Verification (LPV). It is a process that verifies a student's legal status in the United States. It's required for students who are applying for in-state tuition or an out-of-state tuition waiver at any University System of Georgia institution.
State ID's, Learner Permits or Driver License are acceptable to upload or provide to colleges & universities.
Final Transcripts??
Every college will require a final transcript!!!
Out-of-state transcripts will be sent through SchoolLinks (if you used Common App). You will request those here: Send through Common App/SchoolLinks.
***If you did not apply through Common App, you will have to mail your transcript.
If you need more than one; there is a $5 fee to be paid on mypaymentsplus.
Colleges & Universities In-State, students can send electronically FREE through GAFutures as long as your social security number is updated in that system.
Students can apply using one application and select multiple partnered schools through the three platforms. Application cost still applies with submitting each application unless students qualify for a application fee waiver.
If you do not see your college choice offered through any of the above platforms, you can apply directly with a college.

If college is in your future, research not only the college, but also the degree; majors and minors offered to ensure it is a good match for your transitional plans. Factor in other requirements for admission as well like; grade point average (GPA), testing score requirements and additional admission processes for specific degree programs.
There are so many options ranging from, ivy league colleges, historical black colleges, Hispanic Serving, public, private, research and other institution types.
College Fly- In Programs
A college fly-in program is an opportunity for high school seniors to visit a university and stay in a dorm overnight, with all travel expenses covered by that university. These programs offer prospective students [excluded racial and ethnic groups, first generation & low-income households] but could be competitive that will provide a more immersive campus visit experience. Prospective students will be able to explore campus, meet university students & staff, eat in dining halls & attend college classes, all while taking in the college day in the life experience ahead of time. Access to workshops and seminars on college admissions, financial aid & more.
