If any personal device of any kind is lost or stolen, the school is not responsible for restitution nor are we obligated to investigate.
If a student fails to adhere to the “Away for the Day” policy, they will be subject to the following consequences:
1st offense ‐ The student receives a warning. The teacher provides a reminder of the “Away for the Day” rule.
2nd offense ‐ The student receives a “step” in the discipline database for unauthorized use of electronics. The teacher contacts the student’s parent.
3rd offense ‐ The student receives a referral to an administrator. The administrator provides an administrative warning and contacts the student’s parent.
4th offense and beyond ‐ The student receives a referral to an administrator. The administrator provides a discipline consequence aligned to the GCPS Student Conduct Behavior Code. The administrator contacts the student’s parent.
