Any current or past issues can be picked up from the Donald Reichardt Center for Publishing and Literary Arts (Plumb Hall 411, Front Desk). Quiviria is produced annually with student fee money allocated by the Associated Student Government each year (approximately $0.25 per student annually) and so is free for students and alumni!
The newest issue is always available to pick up at the Plumb Hall 411 (Humanities and Social Sciences) Front Desk, but feel free to come inside the Reichardt Center and check out older issues as well. Or, email us at quivira@emporia.edu to set up a time to pick up a copy.
The journal features poetry, fiction, plays, and art by ESU students and is edited and produced by student volunteer staff of the journal, with the help of ESU Creative Writing faculty and staff. It's a great way to learn about the publishing process, build real-world skills, and get to know other members of the literary community here on campus. Student volunteers have the option to work in exchange for service hours at Emporia State University. For information, contact the Quivira Advisor, Kevin Rabas at krabas@emporia.edu.
Quivira editors have the opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of a publication, read and judge submissions, learn layout and design, and more! If you'd like to learn more about helping produce Quivira send an email to quivira@emporia.edu.
Quivira is open to submissions from any and all currently enrolled ESU students, regardless of major or year. Whether you're an undecided Freshman or getting your Masters in Biology, we want to see your work!
