🌱 Biology Project: Germination of Legumes
🌱 Biology Project: Germination of Legumes
In this project, 1º ESO students investigated how legumes germinate and grow. By observing seeds such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas, they learned about the different stages of germination, from the first root emerging to the development of the first leaves.
Students designed simple experiments, recorded daily observations, and analyzed the conditions needed for seeds to germinate, including water, temperature, and light. Through this hands-on investigation, they developed scientific skills such as observation, data recording, and drawing conclusions from their results.
This project helped students understand how plants begin their life cycle and why legumes are important plants in agriculture and human nutrition.
