The students

We sent 4 students to perform a LTM in Trenčín. They attended the lessons according to their individual learning programs.

Meanwhile, they must be on the loop of their lessons in Spain, keeping in touch with their teachers through Meet and Classroom.

Apart from the daily lessons they had the chance to get involved in leisure activities and winter sports as well as travelling through the country with their host families and partners.

The city

Trenčín is a city in western Slovakia of the central Váh River valley near the Czech border, around 105 km (65 mi) from Bratislava.

It has a population of more than 55,000, which makes it the eighth largest municipality of the country and is the seat of the Trenčín Region and the Trenčín District.

It has a medieval castle, Trenčín Castle, on a rock above the city.

Trenčín is chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2026.

Expectations and final experience

The Spanish students were sent to Slovakia knowing not many things about the country and city they would stay in. They told that during the travel to get there, they were just imagine how the food would be, the people, the families, the language...

What we can make sure is that this experience was a full-filling one, from knowing nothing, to be experienced in the Slovak culture. Our long mobility students had learned and enjoyed a lot in these two months, and who wouldn't in such an amazing experience?

The exchange students want to encourage next generations to participate in projects like this one. There will be difficulties, hard moments... but they will make you grow as a person, and most of the experiences will be awesome in such a wonderful time.
