The Erasmus+ mobility to Germany was designed with a strong European dimension, fostering students’ understanding of Europe as a shared cultural, historical and social space.
Through the project theme “Tasting and Touring”, students explored how gastronomy and cultural heritage reflect both national identities and common European values. By visiting historical monuments, urban spaces and cultural landmarks, participants gained insight into Germany’s role within the European context while recognising similarities with their own culture.
Food-related activities provided an accessible and meaningful way to approach cultural diversity, helping students understand traditions, lifestyles and social habits across Europe. At the same time, the mobility encouraged the use of English as a common language, reinforcing communication and cooperation beyond national borders.
The project promoted key European values such as respect for cultural diversity, inclusion, cooperation and active citizenship. By interacting with local students and experiencing everyday life in another European country, participants developed a stronger sense of belonging to Europe and a deeper appreciation of intercultural dialogue.
This mobility contributed to raising students’ awareness of the importance of European cooperation in education and helped them view Europe not only as a geographical space, but as a shared community built on diversity and mutual understanding.
