This HP introduces the High-Q-Resolution neutron spectrometer HQR installed at T1-1 beamline of JRR-3 (beam hall).
For operating the spectrometer, the owner the Institute for Solid State Physics (ISSP), the University of Tokyo collaborates with the Research and Education Center for Atomic Sciences, Ibaraki University.
The HQR spectrometer is open for the general user program of neutron scattering managed by ISSP, the University of Tokyo. The spectrometer is also applied for the practical training of neutron spectroscopy in the courses of Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Engineering, Ibaraki University.
2026.4.4 New paper reporting research results using HQR (T1-1) is accepted!! Dr. S. Hayashida's Gr. from CROSS and collaborators submitted “Zr-based bulk metallic glass clamp cell for high-pressure inelastic neutron scattering ,” to High Pressure Research (2026). The HQR (T1-1) spectrometer was applied to confirm feasibility of the newly developed high pressure cell for inelastic neutron scattering.
