Kurokawa lab at the University of Tokyo, Komaba, is a research group studying the formation and evolution of planetary systems. Our research targets include terrestrial planets such as Earth and Mars, gas and icy giants, small bodies, and protoplanetary disks from which planetary systems form. We chiefly work on theoretical modeling and computer simulations of planetary processes, combined with experimental, observational, and explorational studies. Here is the webpage of our department.

黒川研究室は東京大学駒場キャンパスにて惑星の起源と進化を研究しています。我々の研究対象は地球や火星のような地球型惑星から、巨大ガス惑星、巨大氷惑星、小天体、惑星誕生の舞台となる原始惑星系円盤と多岐に渡ります。研究手法としては主に理論モデリングやコンピューターシミュレーションを行っており、実験や観測、探査研究者とも共同研究を行っています。宇宙地球部会について：[ウェブページ] [紹介記事]

To Students: Undergraduate students can join Kurokawa lab through the College of Arts and Sciences. Graduate students can join us through the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences or the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo. English information for enrollment can be found in University's webpage. UTokyo provides several opportunities for financial support (RA salary). Please contact Prof. Kurokawa (hirokurokawa_at_g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) for more information.
To Researchers: One way to join Kurokawa lab as a postdoc is to apply for the JSPS postdoc fellowship. Additionally, depending on our grant situation at the time, some postdoc positions may be available. Please contact Prof. Kurokawa (hirokurokawa_at_g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) for more information.
