東京大学情報学環・学府は、長年にわたりソウル国立大学校と台湾国立政治大学と共同で国際合同シンポジウムを続けてきました。今年度は東京大学が主催校となり、4年ぶりに対面で開催します。
今回は、「Mediating the World in the Digital Age: Politics and Culture of Technological Change」を全体テーマに掲げています。今日、ChatGPTなどのAI技術やデジタル化が進む社会のあり方が大きな問題となっており、メディア・情報・コミュニケーション・ジャーナリズム分野でも様々な議論が交わされています。今回のシンポジウムでは、私たちの生活と密接に関わる広義の科学技術について、技術的側面からだけでなく、政治的・社会的・文化的影響にも目を向け議論したいと考えています。
このテーマの捉え方は様々ですので、皆さんの研究テーマに基づいた解釈で構いません。様々なテーマの発表と議論を通して、皆さん自身の研究の深化にもつながるものと思います。
シンポジウムに向けて、David C. Buist講師が英語による研究発表の指導をしてくださいます。希望者は、「International Conference Presentation」（A1ターム、金曜３・４限予定）の授業を履修してください（授業履修は、必須ではありません）。

研究発表会は27日（終日）に行います。
28日（午前中）は、学外でのフィールドトリップを予定しています。

発表形態：英語によるポスター発表（発表10分＋質疑10分、1人2回ずつ行う）

発表形態について：
一般的なポスターセッションと同様に、一つのセッション（計1時間）内で、複数の学生が同時 に発表と質疑を行います。ただし、発表10分＋質疑10分とし、これを2回行います（発表内容は同じ）。なお、発表資料の印刷等は各自でやっていただく必要はありません。

The Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo has co-organized international symposia in collaboration with Seoul National University and National Chengchi University in Taiwan for nearly three decades. This year, the University of Tokyo will be the host institution and will hold the symposium face-to-face for the first time in four years.
The theme of this year’s symposium is “Mediating the World in the Digital Age: Politics and Culture of Technological Change.” Today, the expansion of AI technologies such as ChatGPT and the increasing digitization of our everyday lives have become controversial topics, raising debate among scholars in many fields, including media, information, communication, and journalism. At this symposium, we would like to discuss multifaceted implications of technology broadly conceived by looking not only at its technical aspects but also at its political, social, and cultural dimensions.
There are many ways to view this theme, so please feel free to interpret it based on your own research themes. Through the presentation and discussion of various themes, we hope that you will be able to deepen your own research.
In preparation for the symposium, Lecturer David C. Buist will offer guidance on giving presentations in English. Students presenting papers at the symposium are strongly encouraged to take his “International Conference Presentation” course (A1 term, Friday 3rd and 4th periods). (Enrollment is not mandatory for symposium participation.)

Format: Poster presentation in English (10-minute presentation + 10-minute Q&A; each student makes the same presentation twice)

About the presentation format:
Multiple presenters make parallel presentations and Q&A, like a typical poster session. Each session (for 1 hour) consists of two sets of “10-minute presentation and 10-minute Q&A.” You do not need to print out your posters or other presentation materials.
