Since 2021
This is a research project investigating the relationship between avatar robots and society.
This is a part of the research of “Cybernetic Avatar Technology and Social System Design for Harmonious Co-experience and Collective Ability,” which is a part of the Japanese government’s Moonshot R&D Program Goal #1: “Realization of a society in which human beings can be free from limitations of body, brain, space, and time by 2050.”
Avatar Robots: Let's Take a Moment and Think with Them
Cards that invite you to explore the relationship between avatar robots and people through questions rather than answers.
As part of this project, the Ema Lab's Thinking with Avatar Robots project has created a series of cards that gather questions about avatar robots.
These cards are not meant to provide answers. Instead, they are designed to spark conversations and encourage people to think together.
The questions on the cards are based on what people have actually wondered about and expressed in real-world settings where avatar robots are used.
The illustrations were created by volunteer OriHime pilots working at the BUNSHIN Robot Café.
We hope you'll pick up a card and start a conversation with someone around you.
Where to find the cards: BUNSHIN Robot Café DAWN ver.β (Access)
