The topics of the workshp "Correlated Quantum Materials + beyond" (CQM+b2024) shall cover various novel quantum properties of strongly correlated systems. They include unconventional superconductivity, exotic magnetism, heavy fermion behavior, Mott transition, spin-orbital order, and topological orders in strongly correlated systems. We also set two important issues focused in the workshop. The first is the dynamical and non-equilibrium properties of strongly correlated systems. The second is the new developments and applications of machine learning and related data science approaches to strongly correlated systems.
The workshop takes place for the two weeks shown above. We limit the number of talks to a few per day and plan to keep as much as time for sitimulating discussions among participants. Complementarily, the first two days of the second week are devoted to a symposium. Many new theoritical and experimental developments in strongly correlated systems will be intensively discussed then, and a poster session is also scheduled.
Organizers:
Hirokazu Tsunetsugu (ISSP), Yukitoshi Motome (Univ. Tokyo), Cristian Batista (Univ. Tennessee)
The ISSP has started in 2006 the series of the ISSP theory workshops and regularly organized one each year since then. The series had been suspended during the COVID pandemic, and this is the second workshop after the restart in 2023.
