The Moonshot Research and Development Program sets ambitious goals to attract people, and promotes challenging R&D projects with the aim of resolving difficult societal issues while bringing together the wisdom of researchers from all over the world.
In this project, Japan (The University of Tokyo) and Sweden (KTH) will jointly build a virtual laboratory with the aim of establishing a shared technological foundation to improve the accuracy and reliability of precision machines, particularly robots. Furthermore, the project will develop an international research platform that enables cycles of remote teaching, hypothesis generation, and physical verification to be operated without geographical constraints, thereby promoting the societal deployment of AI-enabled machines in the biomedical and precision manufacturing fields.
