Meet the Director

Mrs. Delanie Sager is looking forward to her sixth year as the Choir Director at Rodriguez Middle School. After graduating from Texas Woman's University with her bachelor's degree, she began her teaching career in Era ISD where she taught music classes for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. In 2019, she earned her Kodály certification through Midwestern State University. This is also the same year that she began working at Strickland MS as the Assistant Choir Director here in Denton ISD. Since 2021, Mrs. Sager has had the pleasure of working with 6th through 8th grade choirs and the Partner Music class at RMS. In addition to her role at RMS, she currently serves as the 6th Grade District Honor Choir coordinator. At home, Mrs. Sager enjoys spending time with her family - her husband, Steven, their two-year-old, Tristan, and their two cats, Barnaby and Theo.
