Parent Guidance is a website that offers "education and therapeutic support to empower and give you hope as you support your child’s mental health."
Parent Guidance provides On-Demand Courses for parents that cover a variety of different topics, such as anxiety & depression, grief, and even suicidal ideation.
They also have a section called Ask-A-Therapist, where parents submit questions and licensed mental health professionals provide video responses on next steps that parents can take to help support their child.
The last section that Parent Guidance offers is Parent Coaching. Topics that are covered in this service include Basic Needs, Secure Attachments, Attuning to Our Children, and Emotional Development.
How to help your child be successful at Navo Middle School:
Monitor your child’s grades by accessing HOME ACCESS CENTER (HAC) through the Denton ISD website. Call 369-4700 for more information.
Review Progress reports and report cards that are viewed through the Home Access Center (HAC).
Schedule conferences with your child’s teachers as soon as you notice a problem.
Make sure your child attends tutoring when needed.
See that your child receives adequate rest and nutrition.
Attendance is IMPORTANT - always make sure your student is in attendance unless they are ill or have a family emergency.
