I have a Bachelor of Education, Math Specialization, from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX (December 1990) I hold a Texas Lifetime: Grades 1-8 with Mathematics Specialization and a Texas Lifetime: Grades 9-12 Mathematics certification.
I began teaching at Alamo Middle School, Midland, TX 1992-1998. I taught 7th grade Math, 8th grade Math, 8th grade Algebra 1 and Computer Literacy. I moved to Denton and began teaching at Strickland Middle School, Denton, TX 1998-2004. I taught 8th grade Math and 8th grade Algebra. In 2004 I began teaching at Ryan High School, Denton. I am still here teaching Algebra 1 and Honors Algebra 1.
I have been a part of many committees, groups, studies and PLC's over the years. I am currently on the curriculum writing team and am the lead Algebra 1 teacher on campus. I am also the RHS Renaissance Sponsor.
I have been married since 1993 to my husband, Kes. We have one child, Zoe, who was born in 2007. We also have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family & friends! We enjoy traveling & spending time outdoors when we can.
