I am thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher this year! First grade is a year full of growth and I enjoy being a part of this adventure with each of my students. I myself am a proud product of Denton ISD and in case my heading didn't clue you in... I actually attended Wilson/Shultz! I truly love this school and the community here. It is a very special place to be!
I attended Texas Woman's University where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and obtained my EC-6, 4-8 Language Arts and Reading, as well as my ESL teaching certifications. Upon graduating, I long term subbed at Wilson in 3rd and 2nd grade. I taught two years at Hodge Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher, and then made my way back to Wilson/Shultz where I have been teaching first grade.
My husband and I live a busy life with our 13 year old daughter, 6 year old twin girls, and our fur baby (Walter - White German Sheperd). In my free time I enjoy spending time with our friends/family, attending our daughter’s sporting events, and reading.
I am passionate about learning and I look forward to working with children each and every day.
