We will begin the dismissal process at 2:55.

Kinder-5th Grade Car Dismissal: We will dismiss from the cafeteria beginning at 3:00 PM (earlier the first few days of school). Cars will pull up to the designated spaces as directed by staff and we will load 8 cars at a time. We will bring students to their car so the driver can remain in the car. We cannot release students to cars that do not have their 2023-2024 Hawk car tag hanging in the rearview window.

Walkers: Walkers will exit from the back of the building out the hallway exits (in between Hawk and Crownover) and walk home. Student and family walkers are asked to use the crosswalk between schools. The parking lot and drives between Hawk and Crownover are closed to cars for walker safety. Please do not pick students up by car in this area

Pre-K Car Dismissal: PK students plus their older siblings will be dismissed by car at the front of the building out the music hallway exit. Cars will pull up to the designated spaces as directed by staff in a single line along the curb for a few cars to be loaded at a time. We cannot release students to cars that do not have their 2023-2024 Hawk car tag hanging in the rearview window.

As a reminder, all visitors to Hawk Elementary, even at dismissal time, need to go through the front office for a visitor's badge. Entry into any other doors other than the office doors for visitors is not allowed at arrival, during the school day, or at dismissal.

Q: What can I bring for my 's child's birthday?

If you would like to send a birthday treat with your child on their birthday, please feel free to do so.  You may send it to school with your child, or drop it off in the office by 9a.m. Donuts or Mini Cup Cakes are best.

Please check with me before sending any treats due to food allergies.

Q: How do I pay for cafeteria lunches?
If you would like to apply for school meal assistance (lunch/breakfast at a free or reduced price), please use the link below. You will be able to complete an application here. Please note that families must reapply each school year, and the sooner this is completed, the faster your child will have this in place for the start of the year.

It will prompt you to sign up for a SchoolCafe account first (or sign in if you already have an account from last year), then you may click on the benefits link within. This is also the place to add funds to your child's breakfast/lunch account if they will be eating in the cafeteria this school year.
