Through careful planning and teamwork, they made sure every student received the correct yearbook quickly and efficiently.
This hands-on experience taught them the importance of preparation, clear communication, and time management—all essential skills they can carry into future academic and professional settings.

Yearbook Cost of Production Vs Revenue/Profit
In Yearbook class, students gained valuable real-world experience by learning about the financial aspects of producing our school’s yearbook. They explored the relationship between production costs, revenue, and profit, applying basic business and budgeting principles throughout the process. Students learned how to balance creativity with financial responsibility. This hands-on experience not only helped them understand the true cost of producing a quality yearbook, but also taught important skills in entrepreneurship, decision-making, and teamwork.

Designing a Marketing Campaign
The class is working on designing posters, flyers and ads for our February Yearbook sales campaign. Which will be an opportunity for parents to buy a yearbook in the school.
The students have learned how to use Canva to design attractive and creative ads/flyers. Their designs will be used in our school social media platforms, as well as PTA, Lantana Life, and other pages that support our Yearbook class activities.
Art pages posted in the 24-25 yearbook.
DECEMBER
First Yearbook Pages Submitted for Printing
Before the Christmas break, each student in the Yearbook class completed the design of at least three pages from the different sections of the yearbook. It was the most challenging time of all. While designing can be a fun-free spirit time for most, standards of quality set up by Jostens challenged the students to give their best, embrace corrections and advice, edit their work as many times as needed, and do the final touching to make everything look great.
NOVEMBER
The Yearbook class participated in the
PTA Reflections Art competition
Seven pieces of art were submitted for participation in the Reflections Photography Competition. Students in the Yearbook class experienced capturing images in different settings: indoor, outdoor, sports, and candid photography. This allow them to have a good selection of pictures to be used in the yearbook, their personal portfolio, and to submit for competition purposes.
OCTOBER
The Journalistic Side of the Yearbook
The class is having a series of interviews with teachers and students to collect material for stories that will be added to the sections of the yearbook. Once a week an interviewee visits our classroom for a twenty minutes interview.
The students prepare questions the days previous to the interview, ask those questions and write the answers on their notebooks. Once the interview is finalized they proceed to do their writing.
The students are learning to interact in a professional level with their teachers and peers.
