NEW STUDENTS: We are sure you have many questions and we are here to help. One of the most daunting questions is when will you receive your district login and password. (Note: Accounts are created every 24-48 hours; until then, you will not be able to login.)
Go to the ClassLinks Page (launchpad.classlink.com/denton)
Enter your Username and Password
Username = Student ID#
Password = Password given to you by the counselors
You should be prompted to reset your password to one of your choosing.
Password Requirements include:
i. Upper-case letter
ii. Lower-case letter
iii. Number or Symbol
iv. Must be at least 8 characters in length
NOTE: You cannot use your name or student ID# in the new password.
Once reset, you will have access to all your apps through the ClassLinks page.
If you have problems, please complete the Password Reset Request Form to have the password reset back to the original temporary password.
RETURNING STUDENTS: If you have forgotten your password, please navigate to sso.dentonisd.org and select the Help, I forgot my password link. If you set up security questions in the past, you will be able to reset your password yourself. If that option is not available, please complete the Denton ISD Password Reset Request Form. Your new password must contain one number, one uppercase letter, and cannot be a password you have used previously. It will take approximately 24 hours for your password to be reset.

Logging into and using a district-issued Chromebook
Accessing the district Single-Sign-On (SSO) Portal
Signing into and using Canvas
Joining a Microsoft Teams or Zoom meeting
While your child should be able to manage the learning platforms because of their familiarity with the software, we would still encourage you to look at these as well. By working through these resources together, you will gather essential information that benefits parents and students. Wildcat Classes of 2021 & 2022:
Please read this email entirely as there is a great deal of information.
At the appropriate time, please go to the following Google form, https://forms.gle/qBbbVhTesLjoYvng6 , and complete your parking permit request application. Parking permits are $30, which will be collected when the permit is picked-up.
Seniors, Class of 2021, may begin submitting online requests for parking permits at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st . Any online requests submitted and time-stamped prior to 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1st will not be processed.
Juniors, Class of 2022, may begin submitting online requests for parking permits at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd . Any online requests submitted by juniors and time-stamped prior to 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd will not be processed.
Due to space limitations, ONLY Seniors and Juniors will be issued parking permits if they meet the eligibility requirements and there is available space. Unfortunately, we do not have enough parking spaces to allow us to issue parking permits to all Senior and Junior students with a driver’s license at the beginning of the school year. Space does open at then end of 1st semester in the F lot, the marching band’s practice space, and this allows us to issue permits to almost all Seniors and Juniors on the waiting list.
All students who successfully submit online applications will receive email confirmation of their status regarding approval of a permit or their status of being placed on the waiting list.
To be eligible for a Student Parking Permit you must meet the following requirements:
1. Student must be in 11th or 12th grade. Student Parking Permits will not be issued to 9th and 10th grade students at any time.
2. Student must have a valid Driver's License and current vehicle insurance at the time of application. Learner's Permits will not be accepted.
3. Student may not have seat time, financial, or textbook obligations.
Students who meet all requirements will be assigned a parking permit, based on availability. This year, student parking permits will be stickers and must be affixed to the front passenger side window of the student’s vehicle. The tags will be checked regularly for security purposes. The tags are generic and do not specify a lot this year. Students who meet all requirements and are not assigned a parking permit will be assigned a place on the waiting list.
Students will be able to pick up parking permits the week of September 8th. Students will be called down from class to pick up their parking permit during that week. Student must have correct change or a check made out to Guyer High School for 30 dollars. Students must have completed the registration process and have their 20-21 school schedule to pick-up a parking permit. Please make sure your email address is correct when you complete registration and the parking application.
Thank you,
Matt Hill
Assistant Principal
Guyer High School

Denton ISD offers a variety of Programs of Study within 13 Career Clusters. These programs fall into endorsement areas for graduation. With so many options, students must plan carefully to enhance their skill portfolio. In addition to the state graduation core requirements, students are encouraged to select an endorsement to support their career goal. It is vital to understand that many opportunities are available through Career and Technical Education (CTE) that provide an "added value" beyond the high school diploma. To maximize student's learning and earn certifications, students are highly encouraged to follow their programs of study.
Please visit the Career and Technology Education website, which provides direct links with detailed information for each individual pathway.
For quick reference, please view this CTE Sequence Sheet.
