We know families will need support with technology as school starts remotely. Please visit Remote and ConnectedLearning Digital Support for Families for help with Canvas (secondary), Seesaw (elementary), student passwords, and more.
**Please note that students will be using their password from last year. There will be no reset to passwords at this time. ** If your student has forgotten his/her password, please complete the Denton ISD Password Reset Request form for your student.
Specifically for our Wildcat students, a Canvas orientation course for those needing more information on how to be successful in Canvas has been designed and made available . (Other schools have their own orientation courses at the Digital Learning page linked above.)

Your user ID is just your student ID#
If you’re new to the district, your default GHS password is 007.abcd
If you were in the district last year, your password has not changed.
Make sure to log into the SSO(sso.dentonisd.org) or your district Chromebook before logging in anywhere else. This will allow you to reset your password before it expires. If you are still having issues with your password, you can find additional password support here: https://www.dentonisd.org/Page/102264
You need to use your id#@dentonstudent.org to log into Teams and other Microsoft applications. You can find step-by-step instructions here: https://www.dentonisd.org/Page/102237
Check here first: https://www.dentonisd.org/Page/102268
There are step by step guides and videos for logging into Teams, Canvas, Chromebooks, resetting passwords, etc.
If that doesn't work, Denton ISD staff will facilitate a Parent Education/Support Hotline from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Sept. 4 by calling (940) 369-0545. Parents who wish to have assistance in Spanish should call (940) 369-2310.
Parents can receive assistance on a variety of topics such as:
Remote learning platforms: Canvas or Seesaw
Device log-in
Attendance
Transportation
Meal Service
Safety protocols
There are a few reasons: your teacher may not have clicked “publish” yet or you may not be in the course yet if you have recently enrolled or changed your schedule. Either way, the best bet is to email the teacher of the course that HAC says you should be in during that period.
Make sure you have completed the student Canvas orientation. Students can find the answers to most common Canvas questions there.
If you reserved one with your A2 teacher prior to the start of the year, it’s waiting for you here. Please confirm with one of your teachers or your alpha principal that you have one checked out before coming to the school.
If you don’t have one reserved, please let one of your teachers or your alpha principal know, and we’ll add you to the waiting list.
