Grades: 60% from major summative and 40% from minor summative scores.

Progress reports: Please sign up for parent portal at the front office. It will allow you to keep up with your child’s grade. The school will give out progress reports half way through the nine weeks and report cards at the end of the nine weeks.

Homework: Homework will vary weekly, but your child WILL have homework. Homework will include, but not be limited to unfinished class work, research, and studying.

Panther Proficiency Monthly Homework: This will be assigned monthly. Work will be completed through Google Classroom and due at the end of each month. It is imperative that students complete this work at home or come to tutorials if they need assistance. This assignment is based on sixth grade TEKS as well as TEKS currently being worked on in class.

Supplies: Students need to bring their composition note books, binder, pencils, and paper to class daily. Coloring utensils (markers/highlighters, etc.) are always a good idea too!

Discipline: 1^st behavior issue: verbal warning/teacher-student conference

2^nd behavior issue: parent contact

3^rd behavior issue: parent contact/conference with guidance counselor

4^th behavior issue: office referral

Communication: Please communicate with me about your child if you have questions and/or concerns. We are in this together! Email is the most efficient way to catch me. J
