IMPORTANT INFO/FORMS
In alignment with Senate Bill 12, Denton ISD now requires parent or guardian consent for students to participate in state-mandated health screenings. Please read the following Health consent form and click the link to give consent for the Nurse to do any health screenings such as hearing and vision!
Due to a new Texas law (SB12), written consent from a parent or guardian is now required before our school counselors can provide any counseling or social services support to students. Please read the counselor consent form and click the link to give consent.
Was your child absent? Remember to fill out the DentonISD Absence form!
Lastly, Chromebook insurance enrollment is now open. Emails have been sent from the district with a link to go online to pay for the insurance. It is $20 (or $10 for free/reduced lunch recipients) for device insurance. This covers up to $200 in repairs. It is HIGHLY recommended to buy this insurance because accidents always happen!

As we wrap up our Science Learning targets for the year and prepare to review for the Science STAAR, students will finish life processes of Organisms. Students will learn to:
● explain how instinctual behavioral traits such as turtle hatchlings returning to the sea and learned behavioral traits such as orcas hunting in packs increase chances of survival
● describe a healthy ecosystem and how human activities can be beneficial or harmful to an ecosystem
