Market rabbits should be ordered no later than October 13th 2023 for the 2024 show year through Ms. Deussen at adeussen@dentonisd.org .

- General cost for meat pen of 4 rabbits is $176 with bag of feed ($50 deposit required)
- They MUST either Californian, New Zealand, or Broken New Zealand Breed
- They DO NOT have to be papered
- They must be sexually intact
- Must be validated
- May be kept at the Guyer Barn or Star Ranch but a $25 fee is required.
- Rabbit Advisors must be informed of your intent to house the rabbits at our facilities no later than November 18th, 2022.

Responsibilities and Expectations
- Students need to feed twice a day (including holidays/weekends) and weigh daily at the same time for the most accurate results.
- Students will ALWAYS provide fresh water for their project daily.
- Students will clean rabbit cages daily
- Students need to maintain a consistent feed schedule to keep the animal on track we recommend 7am and 5pm, everyday.
- We will have scheduled meetings periodically to discuss what exhibitors should be doing with their animal to stay on track for shows.
