Mrs. Klein at Denton High School will be overseeing Breeding Rabbits for the 2024-2025 school year. Please contact her at eklein@dentonisd.org
Purchasing
Breeding rabbits should be purchased no later than November 15th, 2023 for the 2024 show year and proof given to one of the rabbit advisors.
General cost for a rabbit is $25-$500 NOT including supplies
They MUST be an ARBA recognized breed and color (Breeder list is on this website)
If the rabbit breed you select has distinct color patterns, please make sure that the rabbit you are purchasing will not be disqualified due to its markings.
If you are unsure, contact Ms. Deussen at adeussen@dentonisd.org
They DO NOT have to be papered
They must be sexually intact
They need to be tattooed in the left ear. Ask the breeder to make sure they are tattooed before you leave with your rabbit.
We can tattoo if we need to but it is best when the breeder does it.
Advisors will recommend breeds and breeders but ultimately it is your decision.
