This is my 10th year in education (all at Nelson Elementary). It’s my 6th year in EXPO. I previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade. I enjoy Math- yes solving math problems for FUN. I know I am a little unique.
I graduated from Texas Woman’s University. I have been married 20 years and we have two children a sophmore and a senior in high school.
We live on 11 acres and my back porch is one of my favorite places on earth. We have donkeys, heifers/bulls and a rescue dog, Laynie. I never mind a little tractor traffic.
Favorite things:
Chips and salsa (and jalapeno ranch), healthy snacks, strong coffee, unsweet iced tea (HTea0), dark chocolate, anything Mickey Mouse or polka dots, the color blue, and most of all kindness and compassion.
Classroom Wishlist: I am working to change over the colors and make the room a calm place for students to think and work.
