Parents, below are the behavior expectations for music class.
1. Students will follow all directions
2. Students will be safe and respectful to themselves, others and equipment
3. Students will perform musically
These expectations are in place in order to create a safe music learning environment for ALL students.
Consequences:
1. Student verbal warning
2. Sitting out of activity
3. Phone call/e-mail home
4. Intervention
If students has consistant misbehavior or fails to follow directions three or more times per six weeks they will have a behavior mark on their report card.
Below is a simple overview of grades:
3
Consistently demonstrates proficient understanding and applies skills independently with minimal teacher support.
2
Demonstrates initial stages of understanding; applies skills but requires teacher intervention and reinforcement.
1
Demonstrates a lack of understanding; difficulty accomplishing grade level tasks; re-teaching consistently required.
Students are also strongly encouraged to use the restroom before or after class. If a student has an emergency they need to communicate that with Mr. Miranda so he can send them to the restroom.
