Ms. McDonald

Hi! I am Ms. McDonald. I was born in California, but my family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when I was very young. This is where I was raised for 17 years. I attended The University of Nevada, Las Vegas and received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I then moved to Denton, TX to continue my education by receiving my Master's degree in Deaf Education at Texas Woman's University. I also received my principal certification in 2011 through Stephen F. Austin State University. Before teaching Kindergarten here at Blanton, I taught Kinder/1st grade/2nd grade children with auditory impairments in Irving. I have been teaching for 20 years.

I love animals and have 2 kitties named Honey and Sugar (Honey is the tan and brown and Sugar is the white and gray). I also love getting time away to travel, spending time in nature and I love any chance I get to go to the beach. My Mom has always been my number 1 cheerleader. I have 1 amazing older brother  and a wonderful sister in law and a precious niece and nephew. My Dad passed away in 2002 and we all miss him very much.

My hobbies include sign language (I use this at my church), crafting and playing the piano. My family is very important in my life and I love to spend time with them and we all love to play games and watch movies.  See below for some of my favorites. Here is a link to my wishlist.

Dutch Bros...trifecta dutch cocoa

Sonic Drink...limeade with real cherry fruit with light ice 

Drink...'Bubly' brand water (strawberry sunset, passion fruit and raspberry are my favs)

Candy...anything MILK chocolate or chocolate and caramel, Reese's peanut butter cups, milk chocolate covered almonds

Snacks...Boulder Canyon Jalepeno Ranch Canyon Poppers, Pistachios, Nature's Bakery Oatmeal Crumbles (Raspberry lemon or Strawberry),  Boulder Canyon Chips, Cheez-its

Scents...anything citrus, lavender, anything clean smelling

Ice Cream...mint chocolate chip--YUM! (Although I never turn down any ice cream)

Hobbies...crafting, movies (AMC), playing games with my family , swimming
