Teacher Bio

Just a little about me...

This is my 10th year teaching at McNair and I am thrilled to be here! After eight wonderful years as a first grade teacher, I took on the role of McNair's Reading Recovery and Literacy Support Teacher. I fell in love with the school when I went through my student teaching program. I truly feel McNair is an amazing school and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to teach here.

I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Early Childhood Education EC-4 with a certification in ESL. Go Mean Green! Last year, I added another certification in Reading Recovery through TWU so have pride in multiple colleges. :)

My husband and I have a sweet little girl, Kaylee. She will be nine in October and we are so blessed to have her. She is our world! We traveled to Mexico over the summer and she was able to swim with dolphins - something she's talked about since she was three.

I am a big fan of my Dallas teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks! During my spare time, I enjoy cooking, running, reading, doing anything outdoors, playing my guitar, photography and especially spending time with my family and friends.
