I am a first generation college graduate and have my Bachelors in Agriculture Education from Tarleton State University and my Masters in Agriculture Science from Texas A&M Commerce. I started teaching in 2013 and have been teaching in Denton ISD since 2018. I have two teaching certifications in Agriculture Science and Special Education.
My teaching philosophy is learning through doing and creative problem solving. It is my goal that students learn lifelong skills that will better prepare them for careers in a variety of fields in a safe and structured environment both physically and mentally. Students in my classroom will be able to learn from their successes and failures in a safe and controlled environment and earn certifications that will make them more competitive in the global market.
I have been married to my best friend, Chad Alcorn, since 2015. We have two children together who are the light of our lives and a dog. We enjoy spending time together and making memories with friends and family.
