College of DuPage Vocational Skills Program
Vocational Skills programs have been developed specifically for student with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. These specialized courses are meant to develop entry-level employment skills and enhance independent living.
Computer training and assistive technology enabling individuals with disabilities to communicate, read, write, and continue education toward employment. Mobile services to provide assistive technology and evaluations for high school student in the school setting.
Vocation assessment, applications training on most software, and rehabilitation adaptations. Personalized training is provided specific to job expectations and/or learning needs of people with disabilities.

Illinois Department of Human Services - Division of Rehabilitation Services
DHS-DRS is the state agency that provides funding to organizations for services such as vocational evaluations, supported employment services, trial work experiences, on-the-job evaluations, on-the-job training, and extended services. This is your child's "first stop" in receiving any vocational services.
Parents Alliance Employment Project
Organization devoted to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through individualized employment services. It is a non-profit agency that matches qualified persons with disabilities to employment opportunities. PAEP works with employers to identify workplace needs and match qualified applicants to job specifications. PAEP is located in the Illinois Employment and Training Center (the Unemployment Office, 837 S. Westmore-Meyers Road) in Lombard. The organization also operates an additional site with DuPage County, WorkNet DuPage offices in Lisle.
