Attention Advanced Band Students and Parents,

Our HOLIDAY CONCERT is HERE!

Please read below for the key reminders:

The Concert starts at 6:30 pm on TUESDAY, December 9 in the SVMS Cafeteria.

 - All students should arrive at SVMS by the time listed below:

• Jazz Band

  • Stay after school on Tuesday, Dec 9 to help set up the stage and do a sound check/last rehearsal.

  • We will feed them a pizza dinner at 5:15pm after the stage is set up. Sound check/rehearsal at 6:00pm.

  • Performance starts at 6:30pm

• Symphonic Band and Percussion

  • Seated in the Band Hall by 6:30pm. Move to cafeteria at approximately 6:50pm.

  • Performance starts at approx. 6:55pm

• Wind Ensemble

  • Seated in the Band Hall by 7:00pm. Move to cafeteria at approximately 7:15pm.

  • Performance starts at approx. 7:20pm

Please be on time so we can properly warm up as a whole band. While we have a lot of kids in band, every person on every instrument is an important part of making us sound good. We need everyone there to be successful.

 - The concert uniform is Band Shirt and Blue Jeans (Santa hats are allowed... 🙂 )

Reminders for Percussion Players:

 - All Percussion students should come to the class period for their respective group on Concert Day Tuesday to practice with the wind players. 

 - (2nd period for Wind Ensemble, 3rd period for Symphonic Band)

 - Most of the classes will be a flip-flop with their normal 2nd or 3rd-period class and their 4th-period band class so they don't miss any material or lessons.

 - This is important so we can be successful as a big group on Tuesday Night!
