PlayVS is affiliate with the National Federation of High School Sports, and is the only recognized competition platform by high school state sport associations across the United States. As states slowly adopt eSports as a Varsity sport, PlayVS is the frontrunner for the platform of choice for those state leagues.
Much like any other campus affiliated sport or club, students will be required to be passing all of their classes at each eligibility check, and required to have good attendance for class. Students who are not passing and/or attending class will be ineligible to compete or participate in club activities.
We will provide 6 top of the line PCs that will be revealed at a later date for competition. Consoles will not be provided, but students may have the option to bring their own device in the future.
Students will compete on the PCs provided by the district in matches over the internet. A huge perk to eSports is that there is no travel required.
We will compete in the Texas Region against schools such as Ronald Reagan High School, Johnson High School, and many more out of the San Antonio and Austin area!

The UIL does have eSports on their radar, and as other states adopt eSports as a varsity level activity, we are certain Texas will follow suit.
Practices will be set by each campus individually. Please contact your campus coach for more information (See: Meet the Coaches tab)
