Admissions Counselors

What is an admissions counselor?

An admissions counselor is your liaison to the universities that you are applying to. These professional staff members of the university are the experts on their school's admissions process. They can help facilitate a student's admission to their college or university.

How do I contact an admissions counselor?

Visit the admissions page for each college and university to find the counselor associated with your high school! Admissions links for many Texas schools can be found on the next tab. You can send your admissions counselor an email, call the school to make an appointment with them, or meet them in person at your high school's college representative visits!

Why should I contact an admissions counselor?

These are the individuals who will be reviewing applications for admission to the schools you are applying to! They can help walk you through the steps of applying and make sure you submit all of your items on time.

When should I contact an admissions counselor?

Check to see what their office hours are before calling, or send an email. The fall of your senior year when working on your applications is a good time to start contacting admissions counselors.
