Opinion writing: a form of nonfiction writing that encourages careful word choice, the development of logical arguments, and a cohesive summary. 

Examples of opinion writing:  persuasive letters, commercials, articles, reviews, speeches, petitions, editorials, position papers.

Persuasive Writing: the writers goal is to convince the reader to believe what they believe. The writer uses logic and facts to persuade the reader to agree.

Argumentative Writing: used to support claims in an analysis of a topic. The writer uses facts, evidence, and reasons to develop claims and opposing claims.
