Q: How many points do I need to remain an active member?
A: 2 Points - 1 Service and 1 Social. You can check which events count for each on our calendar.
Q: What if I only need 1 more point and the event I'm planning to attend is after the due date?
A: Let the Vice President know and they will keep you on the initiation list.
Q: I failed to attend the required number of events this semester; what do I have to do to reinstate my active membership status?
A: You will receive an email the following semester alerting you of your inactive status. You must reply to this email stating your intent to regain active status and then attend an extra service opportunity to regain the status of an active member.
Q: I failed to complete the membership requirements for a second time; Can I become an active member again?
A: Unfortunately no. You may only regain active member status after going inactive once.
Q: I want to run for an executive office. What are my options and how do I run?
A: After each spring initiation ceremony, elections will be held for the following positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and Event Coordinator. A few weeks before the initiation ceremony, a form will be sent out where you can express interest in running for one of these positions.
Q: I am leaving Clemson for a co-op, study abroad, or internship for the semester. Will this jeopardize my membership status?
A: No. Any student who leaves campus for an internship, co-op, or study abroad program is listed as "temporarily inactive" until their return to campus. However, you must notify the recording secretary of your absence from campus as soon as possible to be exempted.
