Other Applications of the Lasers
The lasers are currently being used for the ladder obstacle. However, they can also be used in other mediums.
They may be used at the start and finish of a cone course, an inflatable course, a series of hurdles, or any other potential ideas we come up with.
Force Plate Applications
The force plate we created this semester can be replicated if needed and used in a variety of applications as well.
For example, it could be used during a vertical jump test to see how much force you generate when landing back down on the plate.
Hitting a Baseball or Softball
We can use an accelerometer implanted inside of a ball to measure the acceleration and velocity of the ball after it is hit by a bat off of a tee. We could also potentially calculate how far the ball would have travelled had the ball not been stopped by a net.
